YMCA Receives $50,000 Gift from Stone

ESCONDIDO, Calif., (October 23, 2015) The YMCA of San Diego County, announced today that they received a $50,000 gift from Stone Brewing Co. to helps support youth and families in North County Region.

Sarah Reese, Regional Vice President of the YMCA of San Diego County, and Executive Director of Palomar Family YMCA Lisa Norombaba accepted the gift on behalf of the YMCA. “Thanks to Stone Brewing Co.’s generosity,” Reese stated, “the YMCA will be able to provide more programs in an effort to support more families in North County. We are thankful for this contribution to our Annual Support Campaign.” Stone Brewing Co. has been a generous supporter of the YMCA for almost 20 years. These funds were made possible through the proceeds from the Stone 19th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival, which one hundred percent of the event’s proceeds benefit four local San Diego charities.

The YMCA is dedicated to turning no one away due to the inability to pay; this is made possible through the donations to the Annual Support Campaign. These funds provide subsidized services in before-and after-school care, holiday and summer day camp, prevention-based health and wellness programs and family strengthening activities and Y memberships.

Thank you again to Stone Brewing Co. for their continued generosity and dedication to the community. To learn more about the YMCA of San Diego County Annual support campaign please go to www.ymca.org
